The Korean Government Scholarship Program is designed to provide higher education in Korea for international students in order to promote international exchange in education and mutual friendship between the participating countries.
Duration
•Master’s : 3 yrs. (01.09.2010 ~ 31.08.2013) – 1 yr. of Korean language + 2 yrs. of Master’s
•Doctoral : 4 yrs. (01.09.2010 ~ 31.08.2014) – 1 yr. of Korean language + 3 yrs of Doctoral
•Integrated Master’s & Doctoral : 5 yrs. (01.09.2010 ~ 31.08.2015) – 1 yr. of Korean language + 4 yrs. of Integrated Master’s & Doctoral

GSFS Program aims to recruit excellent foreign students from universities in East, Southeast, and Central Asia to help them achieve their dream of continuing graduate studies. After collecting different ideas from all the departments of  the university, we finalize the GSFS Program for every semester. Therefore the period of scholarship, eligible countries and universities, number of students per major and information on financial support can change. Please refer to attached guideline for GSFS.

The POSCO Asia Fellowship is provided to Asian scholars for Master’s degree program at the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS), Seoul National University (SNU), supporting their studies at one of the most prestigious institutions of higher learning in Korea. The fellowship, offered by the POSCO TJ Park Foundation, covers full tuitions for up to 4 semesters at GSIS-SNU and monthly living stipends for two years in Korea. Brain Korea BK21

Brain Korea 21(BK21) is a human resource development program recently initiated by Korea’s Ministry of Education. The Ministry has targeted what it considers the seven most important fields in science and technology necessary to enhance national competitiveness in the 21st century. These are: information technology; biotechnology; mechanical engineering; chemical engineering; material science; physics; and chemistry. The objective of BK21 is to produce the next generation of world class leaders in these fields by upgrading research infrastructure and graduate-level training in Korea. Biotechnology, which encompasses the fields of agriculture, medical science and environment, is the first target area selected for program implementation.
