The Daiwa Scholarship Japan is a unique 19-month programme of language study, work placement and homestay in Japan. Daiwa Scholarships offer young and talented UK citizens with strong leadership potential, the opportunity to acquire Japanese language skills, and to access expertise and knowledge relevant to their career goals.

Daiwa Scholarships are provided by the Foundation to encourage better understanding between both countries.

Deadline: The next closing date for applications is December 3, 2009.

ITO Foundation scholarship

Sato International Scholarship Foundation

The Sato International Scholarship Foundation provides two types of scholarship for self-supporting students from countries such as Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, East Timor, Vietnam who are enrolled in a Japanese undergraduate or graduate institution. One is Scholarship for Self-Supporting Students and the other is Scholarship for Short-Term Exchange Students.
